"The Journey From Golden Corporate Handcuffs To Total Freedom"
I suppose you could say that I was influenced by Corporate America.
But the burnout is genuine, and I began to yearn for greater autonomy and adaptability in my life.
I began reading Think & Grow Rich, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and The Four Hour Work Week. My life was radically altered by this new way of thinking, which was a direct result of these books.
At that point, I became interested in the appeal of entrepreneurship, affiliate marketing, and developing digital goods.
My preferred business models after learning about leverage and residual revenue were affiliate marketing and producing digital goods.
I love the idea of being able to sell other people’s products that I’m passionate about, while having the opportunity to help others around that same mission.
The internet and social media became my go-to resources as I delved into this new world, enabling me to spread my enthusiasm for the goods I was selling and the message of freedom and entrepreneurship that I could impart to others.
As usual, life threw me a curveball on Good Friday, April 2010, as I was developing my small "side gig" in addition to my hard finance job.
My mom contacted me in a panic that morning to inform me that Jim, my stepfather, who I thought of as my father, had fallen in the shower while getting ready for work and was taken to the hospital.
That morning, I threw everything aside and hurried to join the family.
My dad passed away that weekend at the young age of 61 from a severe stroke.
My family was rocked by this, and I had to take time off work to help my mom through that trying period.
Despite my absence, my internet business continued to expand and generate revenue, which helped me discover the actual possibilities of owning your own time and residual income.
This painful event made me realize the true potential of owning your OWN time and residual income even in my absence, my online business kept growing, and the income kept coming in.
